The network is created to promote symbolic and numeric computing for Engineering. The emphasis will be on the use of free tools such as Maxima, Scilab and GNU Octave
and their application in solving Engineering problems in many different discipline of Engineering.

The network is open and other educators, students and people interested in Engineering computing or computing in general are welcome to join the network and contribute by active participation in the network activities.
